The Institute of Counselling & Community Studies (ICCS) is a privately owned Registered Training Organisation delivering Nationally Accredited courses across Victoria. Established in 2002, ICCS delivers accredited Diploma and Certificate courses in Welfare, Counselling, Disability Care, Aged Care and Children’s Services. This means that ICCS is registered with the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA), a government body providing regulations that ensure quality in education and training in Victoria. ICCS complies with the AQTF, a national set of standards which assure national consistent, high quality training and assessment services for students. This means your qualification is part of the Australian Qualifications Framework and is recognised Australia wide.

Our trainers have extensive experience in their industries (meaning personal expertise on the job) and in training are able to share their knowledge and experience in an empowering way to enhance each students learning experience. Class sizes are kept to a minimum, ensuring all students receive adequate support from trainers and the administration team. We are committed to the learning and development of each of our learners working towards achieving personal growth and development as a knowledgeable team members and employees.

Our programs are designed to be accessible to busy people, combining the best combination of classroom based learning and self-paced study. At ICCS we appreciate the busy lifestyles of our students and recognise that most of us want to continue other commitments whilst studying. Given the nature of the skills being learned, good training programs must have regular opportunities for practise and interaction with others. Our programs address both of these important considerations, providing regular interaction and practise, whilst allowing students to do some study at home.
An important consideration when choosing a training organisation is to ensure the course, the content and the training is meeting industry requirements. All programs delivered by ICCS meet industry and government vocational education training standards. We ensure this by meeting regularly with industry Subject Matter Experts or SME’s keeping up to date with changes and policies.
